For an appointment, please call (908) 668-2180The Department of Radiology combines the finest in radiological equipment with highly skilled health care professionals to offer a service parallel to that of any major hospital in the country. In addition to providing routine X-rays, the department features magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), helical CT scanning, mammography, palliative radiation therapy, digital angiography, digital fluoroscopy and ultrasound to help diagnose OB/GYN, kidney and circulatory problems and stomach disorders. In fact, the department is certified and accredited for cerebrovascular testing using ultrasound. This 24-hour service is staffed with multiskilled, licensed and registered technologists. Board-certified radiologists provide urgent interpretations so that patients can be treated rapidly.
As part of the hospital's radiology service, Digital Vascular Imaging uses state-of-the-art equipment that allows doctors to visualize the smallest details with less radiation, as well as inject dyes to diagnose circulatory problems, unblock arteries, insert tubes or catheters, perform biopsies and drain abscesses in almost every area of the body. One-to-one nursing care is provided and nationally certified interventional technologists are on staff.
