To address the needs of a growing elderly population, Muhlenberg offers a number of services to help older people stay healthy and independent.

Physicians specializing in geriatric care oversee the hospital's Adult Day Health Program, the first such hospital-sponsored program in the state to allow physically and/or mentally handicapped adults to live at home while receiving individualized medical, nursing, rehabilitative and personal care at Muhlenberg Monday through Friday.

Caregivers of the elderly can benefit from a free support group, which meets monthly at the hospital.
