Convenient Access to Diagnostic Imaging and Laboratory Services On the JFK-Muhlenberg Campus

Diagnostic imaging and laboratory services will continue to be provided at the existing JFK-Muhlenberg Campus in two venues. Area residents will have access to a host of diagnostic imaging and laboratory procedures on both an emergency basis, through the satellite emergency department, and on a scheduled outpatient basis.

Outpatient Diagnostic Imaging at the JFK-Muhlenberg Campus
The Outpatient Diagnostic Imaging Service at the JFK-Muhlenberg Campus combines highly-skilled healthcare professionals with state-of-the-art medical imaging equipment to providing area residents with a comprehensive range of radiology services, including X-rays, CT scan and Ultrasound

Imaging service is available 24-hours for emergency cases and is staffed with licensed and registered technologists, while board-certified radiologists provide urgent interpretations so that patients can be treated rapidly.

To schedule an appointment for imaging services, patients must have a referral from their primary care physician or specialist.

Laboratory Services at the JFK-Muhlenberg Campus
In addition to diagnostic imaging, the community will also have continued access to the full-service outpatient laboratory on the JFK - Muhlenberg Campus, including routine tests required prior to a hospital admission or surgery.

Directed by experienced, board-certified pathologists, the lab employs fully-trained, certified medical technologists, medical laboratory technicians, cytotechnologists, and phlebotomists. The JFK-Muhlenberg Campus lab, which is inspected and accredited by the College of American Pathologists, strives to accurately and efficiently perform physician-ordered tests and rapidly provide clear and timely reports. Laboratory services are available 24 hours per day for emergency cases, with results expedited to ensure apt delivery of care. Our pathologists are always available to discuss concerns and to assist in interpreting reports.

A physician's order is required for most laboratory services. An appointment is not needed as outpatient laboratory services are offered on a walk-in basis.
