Recognizing that each of our employees may want different options for medical insurance in order to meet their family and financial needs, we offer 4 different options -- including coverage for part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week.  One of the most valuable features of Solaris' health benefit plans is that they provides you with 100% coverage for a variety of services at JFK Medical Center and Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center.

In addition to core benefits, we provide opportunities to enhance your coverage for vision, long-term disability, as well as employee, spouse and dependent child life insurance.  You can also put aside pre-tax dollars from their biweekly pay up to the plan limits in a Health Care Flexible Spending Account and/or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account to pay for eligible expenses on a pre-tax basis.

The Solaris "Passport to Wellness" program offers you opportunities to earn rewards simply for doing the things you already are doing or would want to do to maintain and improve your health (such as annual physicals and bi-annual dental exams, regular exercise, etc.).

Retirement Planning & Benefits: Helping You Plan for Life after Work

Solaris is proud to offer a generous retirement program with two parts: Cash Balance Pension Plan with a contribution schedule that increases with age and years of service, including annual interest accruals, and voluntary 403(b) pre-tax retirement savings opportunities with 3 well known retirement plan companies who offer tax-sheltered annuity products as well as traditional mutual fund investment options.

Participation in the Cash Balance Pension Plan is automatic for eligible employees.  Participation in voluntary 403(b) retirement savings accounts is optional, and you may start, change or stop your contributions at any time.  We also periodically offer professionally run retirement financial planning seminars at no charge to employees to help you become an active driver of your financial future and make the most of the savings options available to you.

Paid Time Off: Making Time for Holidays, Personal Days, Sick Time and Family/Vacations

Solaris employees accrue up to 19, 24, or 29 Paid Time Off (PTO) days annually to used for vacation, personal time, and short term illness/disability, and accrue extended sick days that can be used for medical-related absences that exceed a certain number of consecutive work days. We provide up to six (6) paid legal holidays a year, depending on the job status, as well as paid time off for jury duty, military duty, paternity and bereavement.  Part-time employees' PTO and Holidays are prorated based on their assigned work schedule.
